Angels for Change is proud to announce a significant milestone in Project PROTECT. Fagron Sterile Services US (FSS), a recipient of the 2023 Project PROTECT grant and a leader 503B outsourcing, has completed the Preparation and Protective phases for preservative-free Dextrose 70% injection solution. The significance of this achievement is highlighted by the recent flooding at Baxter's North Cove manufacturing site due to Hurricane Helene, which prompted the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to include Dextrose on its drug shortage list as of October 12, 2024. The strategic preparations made through Project PROTECT, Dextrose will remain accessible to vulnerable patients, especially PICU and NICU babies, amid anticipated supply chain disruptions.

Angels for Change announced the 2023 Change Maker of the Year Award at their 3rd Annual Champions for Change Gala on September 16th in Tampa, FL. The Change Maker of the Year award is given to an individual, a change agent, who has committed to and delivered significant change in the fight to ensure access to essential medicines for patients.

Today, Angels for Change announces our 2023 Project PROTECT grant award winners and the seven essential medicines they will take on as Protectors. Each PROTECT grant was funded through grass roots, charitable fundraising activities and presented to representatives of PROTECT organizations in-person by Founder and Chief Change Maker, Laura Bray.
Angels for Change hosted their fifth SummitONE Thursday, July 12th at the AmerisourceBergen, now Cencora, headquarters in Conshohocken, PA. This was the second in person SummitONE following the success from the 2022 summit hosted at the McKesson Corporation headquarters in Irving, TX.
Angels for Change’s (A4C) Chief Change Maker and Founder, Laura Bray, was invited to the White House for a roundtable on the current national pediatric and adult cancer drug shortage crisis. Bray was called on as one of the country’s top healthcare leaders to share her expertise, patient impact stories, and practical solutions to build a more resilient supply chain for all patients. Alongside Bray, were many of A4C’s Advisory Board members and End Drug Shortage Alliance (EDSA) leaders.
