On July 7th, Chief Change Maker and Founder, Laura Bray joined U.S. Representative Kathy Castor for a roundtable discussion and press conference with local Tampa Bay healthcare leaders to address the national drug and device shortage crisis.
Bray was invited as a presenter for the roundtable discussion to share her daughter's battle with drug shortages along with her expertise, practical solutions and insights within the pharmaceutical supply chain.
During the roundtable dialogue, Laura gave an example of how disconnected and fractured our supply chain is, and how she has built an inventory sharing network to protect patients. “I call supply chain members and say, ‘Will you consider sharing for patients in need? I need you to tell me that when there is a dire need situation you’re going to share.’ In building relationships with supply chain members, they know that if they get in trouble they can call me to help them too.”
Immediately after the roundtable, Laura spoke alongside U.S. Representative Kathy Castor for a media press conference.
