TAMPA, FL. – August 13th, 2024
Angels for Change, the nation’s only nonprofit, patient advocacy organization dedicated to ending drug shortages, announces the expansion of their team to three employees with the addition of a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This pivotal role will further propel the organization's proactive healthcare supply chain resiliency programs and create an end to drug shortages for all patients.

Angels for Change proudly welcomes Anthony Flammia as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Flammia has a robust 25 years of industry experience leading end-to-end supply chain and external manufacturing operations. His academic credentials, including a Doctorate in Business Administration from Temple University, an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a BS from Florida Institute of Technology, underscore his deep understanding of the field. Flammia has honed his skills in optimizing supply chain performance across the biopharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer products industries.

“This is a significant step forward in expanding our life-saving work to build the patient-focused supply chain of the future.” said Laura Bray, Founder and Chief Change Maker of Angels for Change. “I want to thank Tony for joining our small but mighty team. He is a true Change Maker and with Tony on board we just got closer to ensuring no patient is left behind due to shortage.”

This new position will work closely with Bray and the Angels for Change Advisory Board and Board of Directors to further activate and operate our existing projects (Project PROTECT, GOLD, Global Supply Chain Network) and to build, launch and manage new patient-centric programs. Flamma’s expertise and experience in this role will enhance the Angels for Change’s ability to achieve their mission.

Flammia shared his excitement about joining the organization, stating, “I am thrilled to join Angels for Change as the Chief Operating Officer. The organization's remarkable efforts to address drug shortages resonate with my goal of making a meaningful impact. With over 20 years of experience in sterile injectables and global supply chain management, I am eager to contribute to the team of strategic partners and Angels for Change to ensure we end drug shortages sustainably and reliably.”
