Our Purpose in Action
About The Drug Crisis
The drug shortage crisis in the United States is diverse in causality and complex in responsibility. According to the FDA drug shortages are among the greatest challenges health care providers and patients face. While drug manufacturers are required to report drug shortages to the Federal Drug Administration, with details surrounding the reasons and expected delivery, Title X of the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act (FDASIA) of 2012 does not require action.
Angels for Change believes public awareness of the national drug shortage crisis will require collaboration and action to alleviate patient vulnerability.
